Ring of Honor 12-9-15

The march to FINAL BATTLE continues!

Match #1: Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser w/ The Boys vs. redRAGON: Bobby Fish starts out against the heavy Bruiser, but manages to dropkick his legs from underneath him. Lots of sharp kicks to the pair from O’Riley and Fish. But Young and Bruiser isolate O’Riley in the corner. During the match, Adam Cole, who will face Kyle O’Riley at FINAL BATTLE, joins  commentary and taunts his opponent throughout the match. Good thing Kyle never notices him until the end! The Boys try to distract redRAGON, but it falls apart as both are knocked off the apron, as well as get a rope dive. In the end, redRAGON gets the win on Bruiser with Chasing the Dragon. After the match, Kyle and Bobby confront Cole as security breaks keeps them apart. Meanwhile, Silas Young instructs The Boys to beat up the referee by DDTing him. Young is proud of this. I guess Young’s idea of being a man means be a bully! JERK! Dalton Castle comes out and confronts Young, whom he will face at FINAL BATTLE, only to hit Bruiser (this guy is dead weight in this feud) with the mic. The Boys tease going back with Castle, but walk off with Silas Young.

Chris Sabin comes out and demands that the KRD imposter, who has been plaguing The Addiction, face him. He says that he will not leave the ring until the imposter shows himself. The red masked KRD appears and reveals himself to be…ALEX SHELLY!!! Sabin leaves the ring shocked.

Match #2: ROH World Television Title Match: Roderick Strong (champion) vs. Samson Walker: Samson Walker is a tall wrestler who won a Future of Honor match at a house show last week to win a title shot. However, I have a feeling who will win. Bobby Fish, who will face Strong for the TV title at FINAL BATTLE, joins commentary. Strong starts off quick, but Walker catches his rope dive and slams him two times into the ring post. Its basically Samson Walker’s size and power against Roderick Strong’s quickness and experience; Samson Walker is an impressive wrestler- hope he gets used more by ROH. In the end, Strong pins Walker for the win, while Fish, who took the TV title belt, comes in the ring, wearing. This infuriates Strong, who has strong words with Fish before security separates them.

Match #3: MAIN EVENT: The Briscoes vs. The Young Bucks: All Night Express joins commentary; they had defeated The Briscoes at ALL-STAR EXTRAVANGANZA VII and fought the Bucks to a draw. All three teams are eager for Tag Team gold- all three will face off at FINAL BATTLE! I enjoyed this match, lots of flying, ground attacks, and super kicks involved. Mark even performs Redneck Kung-Fu on Matt Jackson. The Briscoes hita  Doomsday Device, but only get a two count. Mark attempts a Catcus Jack (BANG! BANG!) elbow off the apron, but eats a superkick from Nick Jackon. The Briscoes hit Jay Driller and Froggy Bow for a two count. The Bucks hit More Bang For Your Buck on Mark for the win. After the match, all three teams brawl, prompting security to separate.
